Townhouses

This development was proposed in Kalgoorlie WA, where weather conditions and harsh environment almost dictated the design. The owners had the site , a very small lot in a multi-residential unit complex; (205 sqm site) . The intent was to accommodate their staff / workers from his geology company. They run a geology business associated with the mining industry in the region.

There was an intent to accommodate 4 workers and the development could also  be rented out for student/share accommodation.

A "bunker" was requested. This part of the country is very dry and hot so a fully air conditioned area was required . Designer suggested a under ground games/media room, that could also be used as office.

Ground level works as communal area and on the upper level, 2 bedroom /2 ensuite separated by a fire party wall.

Roof top to have a complete kitchen bbq area also communal laundry.

Block work for foundation and light steel structure with FC cladding (fibrous cement products) for fire and termite protection.
