Small Extension
Sometimes we just need a couple of meters extension to transform a home!!
This was the case on this modest extension.
Originally the house had 2 bedrooms plus a study. A young family with 1 child , having family visiting very often, had to make a quick decision when the news that a sibling was on the way.
The initial scope was to have the house extended towards the rear to add an extra bedroom, however a sewer manhole was limited to a max of 2.0m approx .
Owners envisaged a new deck added across the back to have a spacious sitting living area overlooking the rear yard The idea had to be revised because when proceeding with the searches and assessment ,the certifier informed us that was a second connection that did not show on the preliminary searches , how lucky hey! not...
The only solution was to revise the design to fit in between !
As you can see the space is just right!
